Loaf Catering & Café is delighted to announce that they have teamed up with fellow social enterprise, Refuge Chocolate, based in Belfast, to continue making a positive impact on communities and individuals across Ireland. Launching this month, the two social enterprises are celebrating their collaboration in serving good quality products to customers while supporting local producers with a purpose. Since 2017, Refuge Chocolate has been helping to give people a brighter future through their support of Flourish NI, a local human trafficking charity. Refuge Chocolate donates its proceeds to Flourish NI and gives survivors of human trafficking an opportunity to get involved in their business. If you visit one of Loaf’s Cafes in both Belfast and Dublin, you will find Refuge Chocolate’s range of delicious products to purchase. This includes chocolate spread, chocolate fudge, chocolate coffee, brownie kits, and more! In the near future, Loaf Catering & Café is aiming to increase its range of Refuge Chocolate products in store to create more ‘gifts with a purpose,’ alongside its range of handcrafted mugs. The profits made from the collaboration will go towards two worthy causes: creating a brighter future for both NOW Group’s participants with Autism and learning disabilities and Flourish NI’s human trafficking survivors. Dwayne Kettlewell, Head of Operational Delivery at Loaf Catering & Cafes comments: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Refuge Chocolate and can’t wait to see how it flourishes in the future. Refuge Chocolate shares the same ethos as the NOW Group, which is to make a real difference to people’s lives and give them the opportunity to reach their full potential, so we knew it was the perfect fit. “If you’re visiting a Loaf Café, make sure you look out for Refuge Chocolate’s delicious products and ‘gift with a purpose.’” Tara Mullan from Refuge Chocolate has also commented on the collaboration: ‘’ I love the ethos of loaf. Their impact on people’s lives and growth of their operations is inspiring. It’s brilliant to have the opportunity to work with a fellow social enterprise. The world would be a much better place with more businesses like us that genuinely make a difference in people’s lives and to the planet.’’ To learn more about the NOW Group, visit: www.nowgroup.org
